Candace is the passionate owner and trainer behind Prairieland Service Dog Training. Based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, she is dedicated to helping owner trainers prepare their dogs for service work. With years of experience, a deep understanding of canine behavior, and a commitment to personalized training, Candace strives to empower individuals and their dogs to succeed as a team.
Candace believes in the power of patience, consistency, and trust to create life-changing partnerships. Her goal is to make the journey to service dog readiness accessible, supportive, and effective for every owner trainer she works with!
Prairieland Service Dog Training (PSDT) began with Candace’s journey to train her own service dog, Bentley. When Candace recognized the need for a service dog in her life, she quickly realized the challenges and barriers many owner trainers face. Through hard work, research, and dedication, she successfully trained Bentley, who became her loyal and skilled partner.
The process not only changed Candace’s life but also inspired her to help others achieve the same success. Seeing how Bentley’s training transformed her independence and confidence, Candace knew she wanted to share her knowledge and support other owner trainers on their journeys.
PSDT was founded to provide the tools, guidance, and encouragement owner trainers need to create their own life-changing partnerships—just like Candace and Bentley.
